Mules are The Shoe right now, and considering how much everyone loves them, we think they’ll stay The Shoe for a long time to come. Style is important, but if a shoe is going to become a go-to for Us, we need to be able to walk in it for a full day at a time!

The Born Cameo mules are nothing like the other stiff, cardboard-like mules we’ve tried on in the past. They’re made to actually be comfortable, with high-quality materials and expert design. They have the trendy woven straw look, but their upper is actually constructed of a soft fabric! This way, we can get the summery look without the scratchiness — and for up to 30% off!

Shoppers say these shoes are “extremely comfortable right out of the box,” with “soft and stretchy” fabric that “doesn’t rub against the skin.” One happily reported that they didn’t end up with any blisters the first time they wore their Cameos, but they did receive “several compliments” instead! Everyone is becoming quickly obsessed, and one reviewer said not to “think twice” about buying this shoe and just trust that we’ll love it without a doubt!

These shoes are the result of Opanka hand-sewn construction, an old technique for stitching shoes in which the lining, sole and upper are all attached together at once to add flexibility and durability. The stitching comes together toward the tip of the Cameo, creating a closed toe, while it loosens up for the rest of the upper, creating perforation. This perforation provides a cooling and completely adorable effect, making this shoe the perfect cross between a flat and a sandal!

Inside this slip-on shoe are smooth and breathable leather linings, including on the “generously cushioned” footbed, which also features arch-support for all-day wear! We’d typically grab a walking sneaker if we knew we were going to be on our feet for long hours at a time, but this mule allows us to dress things up without any pain, or our shoe slipping off!

The outsole of this Cameo mule is made of a lightweight and flexible rubber, and is textured for traction. We’ll also find a slight ¼-inch flat heel on this sole for a hint of sophistication that won’t leave our calves sore!

These shoes are currently available in five colors. For a summery neutral, there’s Natural Fabric, which most closely emulates the straw style. Similar is Gold Fabric, but that version also features some sparkly shine! The other colors are Black Fabric, Blue Fabric, which is a soft cornflower blue and Blush Fabric, a petal-like pink.

Whenever we single out each color, it quickly becomes our favorite. That’s how attention-grabbing and charming these shoes are. They may be called Cameos, but they’ll be making way more than a cameo in our wardrobe; these are total essentials for everyday wear!

We can dress these mules up or down as easily as we can slip them on. Pair them with jeans and a tee for a casual look, or, for a fancier or more professional occasion, pair them with a dress, or, as one reviewer suggested, “billowy pants!” We can’t lose! All we do is win, no matter what, in these mules!
