The d’Orsay trend is taking off and we have to say, it’s a real winner. We want to throw every possible award at it, but instead, we’re just going to celebrate it by wearing it! That works out best for everyone. We can start the celebration off with this flat by one of our absolute favorite footwear designers!

The Sam Edelman Rodney flat is an any-occasion flat with popularity impossible to deny, not that we’d want to. One shopper said that while wearing these timeless shoes, we’ll “feel like Audrey Hepburn.” Okay, goals! One deemed them their “date shoes” for outings when heels aren’t going to cut it, while another called them “a forever shoe!” We can wear these Rodney flats to so many date nights ahead! But what about some of the more nitty-gritty details? One shopper commented on how they “stay securely” on their feet without slipping or sliding off, and others love how they don’t make their feet look wide!

These flats have a slip-on design, with, of course, a d’Orsay silhouette, which means there is a cutout in the middle revealing the arch of the foot. They also have a pointed toe. This silhouette dresses these flats up in an instant, making them suitable for fancy occasions. We don’t have to save them for fancy occasions, though! They’re still flats, after all.

Also dressing up these Rodney flats is a half-inch micro-heel. A heel this short won’t negatively affect our ability to walk or mess with the comfort of the shoe. It’s just there for that tiny boost to help turn this flat from a shoe into a statement.

At the top of the heel is a hardware Sam Edelman logo. There are two versions that vary depending on which flat we want. There’s a diamond-shaped logo or an “E” logo, also varying between silver and gold tones.

On the inside of the shoe is a soft lining and a lightly cushioned footbed, so we won’t feel like we’re walking on hard rock like with other flats. There’s also a scallop detail lining the insole which is incredibly cute, letting these shoes continue to wow even when they’re hanging out and waiting for us on a doormat or shoe rack!

There are currently nine different versions available of the Rodney. We’re talking different shades, patterns and materials! There’s one for everyone, at the very least, but we have heart eyes over all of them.

We want to start off with the Sand Jungle Leopard pattern because animal print is so on-trend right now — especially leopard. The upper of these flats is actually made with Brahma hair! Leopard may be a print, but because it’s composed of totally neutral colors, we can wear this flat as we would a nude or black one, a.k.a. with anything! The micro-heel is black, matching the pattern while still adding a bit of contrast against the beige.

Speaking of nude shades, we can take our pick of nude Rodneys! There’s one with a smooth, Nappa leather upper, but if we’d prefer more of a shine, there’s a patent leather option as well! Oh, it doesn’t end there, either. If suede is more of our thing, the Oatmeal version is waiting for us! These shades all have a brown heel a bit darker than the upper.

Also available in suede, Nappa leather and patent leather is the black version of this shoe. Each version has a black heel, too. Pair them with some skinny jeans for a sleek, casual look or slip them on along with a cocktail dress to wear to a wedding or party!

Instead of black, we can also slightly lighten it up with Baltic Navy, which comes in a suede upper and a black heel. Navy still a bit dark? How about lightening things up all the way with Bright White? This shade comes with a Nappa leather upper and brown heel and will stand out fearlessly when paired with dark or bold colors!

It’s about time a pair of flats stood out even more than heels, so we are loving having so many options of this game-changing shoe! Now we just need to decide which to wear first!
