I love a cute shoe, but I love one I can actually walk in even more. And lately, I’ve been wearing the same Mary Jane-style sneakers with practically everything, from jeans and dresses to workout shorts and leggings. They’re easy to throw on, somehow always make my outfit look chic and, best of all, I’ve walked more than 10,000 steps in them without getting a single blister.

The fact that they’re only $70 makes them even better, especially since I’ve already gotten so much wear out of the ones I have. As a shopping editor, I’d been watching the ballerina sneaker trend take off, and I was immediately sold on the idea of a chicer version of my everyday sneakers.

And that’s exactly what these are: part sneaker, part ballet flat and basically my dream shoe hybrid. The low-profile shape, leather construction and retro T-toe keep the sporty Adidas feel, while double Mary Jane straps add a feminine, fashion-forward twist. Elastic details make them easy to slip on and off, too. They come in sizes 5 to 11, including half sizes and select wide options, and while I love my neutral white, black and gum pair, the red and silver colorways are next on my list.
When I say I wear them with everything, I mean it. Since I work from home, I’ll throw them on with leggings and a sweatshirt for a coffee run or wear them with workout shorts and a T-shirt at the lake house. I’ve also styled them with jeans for brunch and dresses when I want something feminine to feel a little cooler. They make even my most casual outfits feel intentional — and I’ve walked more than 10,000 steps in these babies without a single blister.
I’m not the only one who gets the hype, either. At this point, they’ve earned a permanent spot in my front door closet — and I’m already eyeing my next color.
