I began working remotely full-time nearly six years ago and never went back to office life, so naturally, I’ve built up a healthy collection of work-from-home-appropriate pants. (Because who in their right mind would wear jeans or other ‘real’ pants when they could be comfortable?) Aside from my personal experience, I have over eight years in the commerce journalism world — a unique combo that makes me an expert at shopping for bottoms that feel like pajamas yet still look presentable.

Amazon is stocked with laid-back yet luxe options you can wear every day, but Gap and Quince also sell undeniably stylish bottoms that feel like loungewear. Don’t be caught rocking a restrictive pair of pants when you could slip on these beyond-comfy options instead.

15 Everyday Pants That Feel Like Pajamas

1. My Favorite: You have to see these ankle-length stretchy pants to get it, but with faux back pockets, they’re equally appropriate for work and the gym.

2. Very Versatile: Two functional front pockets and two faux back ones make these full-length yoga pants look dressier than they feel.

3. Easy Elastic: If you need an option that can pass as the real deal, these wide-leg work pants have a hidden elastic waistband, so no one will know you’re super comfortable.

4. Cute and Cropped: With a barrel-leg cut, Trendy Queen’s casual, cropped sweatpants have an asymmetrical hem that gives them a stylish edge, literally.

PARIS, FRANCE - JANUARY 03: Emilie Joseph wears straight black hair worn loose under a brown wool pillbox hat by COS, black rectangular sunglasses, a natural makeup look with defined brows, even skin, deep red lipstick, gold-tone statement earrings, an oversized military-style wool long coat in deep olive green with sharp structured shoulders by Saint Laurent, a fitted taupe mock-neck knit top, high-waisted wide-leg cream white canvas trousers with front pleats by The Frankie Shop, a burgundy and python-embossed leather clutch bag with a gold-tone buckle by Givenchy, black leather gloves, pointed-toe leather slingback heels shoes in cognac brown by Saint Laurent, during a street style photo session, on January 03, 2026 in Paris, France.

6. Barrel Beauties: Gap’s 100% cotton bottoms will come in handy this spring and summer, when you want a loose, casual option that works for warmer days.

7. Lightweight Loungewear: With a thick elastic waistband, these wide-leg gingham pants are equal parts cute and comfortable. Balance out the bold look with a simple tee.

8. Serious Stretch: Quince’s pull-on pants offer four-way stretch and a flat elastic waistband, but no one will be able to tell, thanks to the belt loops and faux front and back pockets.

9. Polished Pull-Ons: There’s no need to fidget with buttons when you have these pull-on dress pants, which come in neutral and brighter colorways.

10. Not-Your-Average Denim: Yes, these are technically stretchy denim pants, but the elastic waist and pull-on style make them just as comfortable as pajama bottoms.

11. Must-Have Mid-Rise: Available in four neutral colors, Gap’s mid-rise pants are baggy with a drawstring waist for a loose, not sloppy, look.

12. Poised Pleats: All it takes are exposed seams, and these high-waisted loose sweatpants come across as more elevated than other options.

13. Diligent Drawstring: When you’re not wearing these flowy linen-blend pants on vacation, they make the ideal everyday pair for days you don’t want fabric clinging to you.

14. Lovely Linen: Made of 100% European flax linen, these cropped Quince bottoms have a flattering high waist and come in 10 colors and patterns.

15. Soft Slacks: The functional front pockets and faux back pockets really sell these stretchy work pants as the real thing, and the tummy-control waist is nice, too.
