Suits

Network: USA Network

Legal drama series Suits premiered on the USA Network in June 2011 and ran for nine seasons until September 2019. Created and written by Aaron Korsh, the show is set at a fictional corporate law firm in Manhattan and follows the personal and professional lives of its cutthroat lawyers.

The series revolves around Mike Ross (played by Patrick J. Adams), who talks his way into a job as an associate for successful attorney Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) despite not having a law degree. The show also features paralegal and Mike’s eventual wife Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle), financial-law partner Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman), secretary Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty) and the firm’s managing partner Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres).

Markle’s final appearance on Suits was in the season 7 finale in April 2018 when her character and Adams’ character tied the knot and moved to Seattle. Both Markle and Adams’ contracts expired, resulting in the pair leaving the show before its last two seasons. (One month after the season 7 finale aired, Markle married Prince Harry in the U.K.)

Suits was nominated for two People’s Choice Awards and received a surge in popularity in 2023 after it was added to Netflix and Peacock. Pearson, a spinoff following Jessica Pearson’s entry into Chicago politics, premiered in July 2019 but was canceled after just one season.
