Bill Belichick Calls Out CBS News for Infamous 2025 Interview Involving Jordon Hudson

Former NFL coach Bill Belichick is speaking out about his infamous interview with CBS.

“I thought that the interview I had with them was done very deceptively,” Belichick, 74, claimed during the Tuesday, May 19, episode of the “Hang Out with Sean Hannity” podcast. “I’ve asked for the transcript from them and they won’t give it to me.”

He added, “They’ve done that with others. I’m not really sure what that policy is.”

Belichick claimed that, in his experience, the network wasn’t “living up to the trust that they talk about.”

Us Weekly has reached out to CBS for comment.

The CBS Mornings interview, which aired in April 2025, featured Belichick answering numerous questions about his age-gap relationship with Jordon Hudson. The couple, who were first linked in 2023, have made headlines for their romance, particularly Hudson’s alleged involvement in Belichick’s career and their 49-year age difference.

“Never been too worried about what anybody else thinks,” Belichick said during the interview when asked about the pair’s significant age gap. “Just try to do what I feel like is best for me and what’s right.”

Journalist Tony Dokoupil asked, “How did you guys meet?” as a follow up.

“Not talking about this,” Hudson, 25, interjected from off camera. (CBS News previously claimed there were “no preconditions or limitations” to the interview.)

Dokoupil clarified in a voiceover that neither Belichick nor Hudson were “comfortable commenting” on their relationship. He also noted that the former cheerleader was a “constant presence during our interview.”

While some internet users claimed the entire interview was “awkward,” others came to her and Belichick’s defense. Hudson was quick to interact with X posts defending her for shutting down the question.

Belichick’s emails, which were reportedly leaked in June 2025, appeared to offer some explanation as to why Hudson was present for the interview.

“Jordon and I have both a personal & professional relationship,” Belichick reportedly wrote to Beth Keith, a senior associate vice chancellor in the Office of University Communications at the University of North Carolina, where he coaches football. (The email was obtained by WRAL News via a public records request.)

“This is not a secret,” Belichick reportedly continued. “Jordon assists me with my personal media, which is why I asked UNC to forward media requests (E.G. CBS 60 Minutes) to her. Jordan has zero involvement in the UNC football program, beyond the degree that my personal media intersects with it.”

A May statement from the North Carolina Athletics Department confirmed to Us Weekly in May that Hudson manages Belichick’s “personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University.”
