Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim did not play a role in her boyfriend, Myles Garrett’s, trade from the Cleveland Browns to the Los Angeles Rams, but that won’t stop her from having fun with the viral rumor.
Kim, 26, took to TikTok on Thursday, June 4, where she poked fun at the speculation that she engineered the deal that sent her boyfriend to her home city.
“What I said in my big NFL meetings to orchestrate this entire trade with all the power I apparently hold because I snowboard sometimes and have cute medals,” she wrote over the video.
In the video, she references a popular meme, saying, “What would happen if you just called Taylor up?”
The line is a reference to a 2016 episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians in which Kris Jenner casually suggests Kim Kardashian simply call Taylor Swift and help her settle her ongoing beef with Kardashian’s then-husband Kanye West.
“I’ve been giggling at these rumors the last couple of days because you guys are giving me TOO MUCH CREDIT😭,” Kim wrote in the caption. “I found out right before it was publicized and was planning to show up and support him wherever he ended up. But I genuinely can’t believe this is happening and am so excited to show him around my city. Go Rams! 💙.”
The Browns traded Garrett, 30, to the Rams on Monday, June 1, in exchange for defensive lineman Jared Verse and a trio of draft picks. After the trade, Garrett sent a heartfelt message to Cleveland fans, saying in part, “From my very first play, you embraced me, and I wanted to help bring winning back to a city whose loyalty, resilience and belief never wavered.”
He continued, “What I didn’t fully understand then was how much the city would shape me.”
Garrett and Kim first appeared in public together in May 2025, when they walked the red carpet at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in Tokyo. Kim eliminated any doubt that they were dating when the NFL season started and she began showing up at Browns games. That included a game in November in which they were spotted kissing on the sidelines.
Since then, the two have gushed about each other in the press.
“He’s my best friend, truly, he’s the best. I’m just so grateful for him for so many reasons,” Kim told Access Hollywood in February when Garrett flew out to Italy to support her at the Winter Olympics. “Despite his busy life and his busy schedule, he’s always shown up for me and I try to do the same for him.”
That same month, Garrett opened up to People about what it is like dating a fellow pro athlete.
“It’s so competitive. When we get into our sports, even when we play games against each other,” he said. “I’m more romantic than her [and I’m] just trying to be her rock because, throughout the year, she’s mine.”
