Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and his former fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, reached a custody agreement after dramatically calling off their wedding last month.

The former couple entered into a temporary settlement on Wednesday, April 15, according to court records. Prescott and Ramos, both 32, share daughters Margaret Jane “MJ,” 2, and Aurora, 10 months.

“This agreement is a positive step forward and reflects the commitment Dak has to raising their daughters in a healthy, supportive environment,” Prescott’s lawyer, Levi McCathern, said in a statement to Us Weekly.

The statement continued, “We’re pleased this was resolved amicably and outside of the courtroom. At the end of the day, the focus remains where it should be — on the well-being of Dak’s two daughters — and he is fully committed to ensuring that.”

Prescott and Ramos came to the agreement one day before a scheduled court appearance to hash out the custody terms. The agreement was not filed and will not be filed unless enforcement is required.

“Sarah Jane is very happy that she and Dak are able to make decisions for the parties’ girls and their family on their own,” Ramos’ attorney, Raymond Rafool, told Page Six. “She firmly believes that working together as parents is very important and will have long-term benefits for the girls. Sarah Jane continues to be dedicated to putting the girls’ best interests and lives first.”

In March, Prescott attempted to take Ramos to court when he filed a Suit Affecting the Parent-Child Relationship (SAPCR), meant to determine parental rights and responsibilities for their daughters moving forward.

A hearing on the SAPCR filing was scheduled for April 2, but the couple decided to cancel it and work on reaching an agreement outside of court.

Prescott and Ramos split in early March, just weeks before they were scheduled to get married in Italy on April 10.

Ramos discovered Prescott had been sending “inappropriate” messages to multiple women and “ex-flings” during a joint bachelor and bachelorette party, according to Page Six.

Us Weekly has reached out to Prescott for comment.

Prescott confirmed the split in court documents obtained by Us on April 5.

“The parents of the children are separated. The appointment of the parents as joint managing conservators would be in the best interest of the children,” the documents read. “It is in the best interest of the children that [Prescott and Ramos] be appointed joint managing conservators of the children.”
