Hacks star and Philadelphia Eagles superfan Hannah Einbinder does not play around when it comes to quarterback Jalen Hurts.
After it was revealed that Hurts, 28, will likely miss the remainder of the NFL season after being diagnosed with multiple blood clots in his lungs, Einbinder, 31, took to social media.
“Shut your ass up if you have something bad to say about him and if you have a problem with jalen you have a problem with ME,” Einbinder posted to her Instagram Story on Monday, October 19.
The actress quoted NFL insider Tom Pelissero, who initially reported that Hurts did not sleep after being diagnosed with a superficial blood clot in his calf earlier this month and hitting the field for the Eagles’ game in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars on October 11.
Pelissero, 43, later clarified that Hurts “was able to sleep upon rejoining the team and the Eagles set aside a room for him at the stadium.”
In a separate post, Einbinder — who has never shied away from being outspoken politically — further explained why she feels such a connection to Hurts.

“Jalen 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 we love you so much not only because you’re so talented but because of who you are,” she shared via her Story. “Jalen donated air conditioning units to all the public schools in philly. He has an all female management team and when the eagles won the he refused to go to the white house. I love him so much he speaks in riddles and ancient proverbs GOD protect this man 😭😭😭😭😭😭.”

The Eagles revealed on Monday that Hurts had been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli, meaning blood clots traveled from the quarterback’s legs to his lungs.
He will miss at least three months of action as he undergoes treatment involving blood thinners.
“Jalen’s prognosis is very good, and we expect a full recovery,” the Eagles said in a statement. “We anticipate that he will have the opportunity to resume contact football activities when he is off blood thinners. In the meantime, he will remain active around the team and continue to condition. More importantly, we anticipate that he will have no long-term effects.”
The Eagles will reportedly not face any discipline for their handling of the Hurts situation. A source told The Athletic that Hurts’ injury “was handled appropriately” on Tuesday October 20.
Philadelphia and backup quarterback Tanner McKee host the Dallas Cowboys on Monday, October 26.
