New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has been going to work this offseason — and he’s got the biceps to prove it.

The Patriots uploaded a photo of a sleeveless Maye, 23 via their official website smiling as he jogged outside as part of the team’s offseason training program. In the image, Maye sported a pair of blue Patriots shorts and a matching blue muscle tee.

“Buff Drake Maye? Wrap it up @NFL,” Patriots content creator Brian wrote via X on Tuesday, May 26. “It’s over for you guys.”

After the photo went viral, Maye sparked reactions from other social media accounts, including ML Football.

“#PATRIOTS QB DRAKE MAYE LOOKS SIGNIFICANTLY BIGGER,” the account wrote via X on Tuesday. “Maye appears to have gained more than 10 pounds of muscle as he has been grinding this off-season. Drake was listed at 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds — making him one of the best dual threats in the #NFL.”

One day later, Maye was asked during a press conference if he’s gotten “thiccer with two C’s” during the offseason.

“Say that one more time?” he replied to the reporter, via a clip posted to X. “That’s a pause if anything. That’s not the way to put it.”

After the Patriots lost to the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 60 in February, Maye underwent another physical change when he volunteered to have his head shaved to raise money for Boston Children’s Hospital. In an April video, Drake’s wife, Ann Michael Maye, shaved the NFL player’s head.

“I think he’s going to look good. He’ll look good. I’ve never seen it before. So this is going to be a shock,” Ann Michael, 22, said before clipping Drake’s hair in a video shared by WCBV.

The fundraiser — which benefited pediatric cancer research — ultimately received $4.1 million, which included $5,000 donated for every person who shaved their head or donated at least eight inches of hair.

“Dealing with kids, dealing with children — that’s one of the best things,” Drake said. “They’re most likely or oftentimes the biggest fans of us players. And I think it’s just, it’s such a cool experience to be able to, you know, shine positive light and to be there for them and to help in any way we can.”

While getting his new ‘do, Drake also updated fans that he’s on the mend after injuring his shoulder.

“Shoulder’s feeling good, feeling great,” he said, according to the Boston Globe. “Just having some time off, being able to get back into throwing and lifting.”
