Pro wrestling legend Ric Flair stoked plenty of confusion with a social media post he made about his ex Wendy Barlow.

It Was Only A Matter Of Time Until You Came Running Back!!” Flair, 77, posted via X on Sunday, August 9. “At Least I Know I Am In Good Hands Because You Have Always Taken The Best Care Of Me Out Of Anyone In The Whole World. She Finally Figured Out There Is Only One Ric Flair And One James Bond, And Currently Ric Flair Is Available For Any Kind Of Action. Let’s See If Wendy Still Has It! LFG!”
Flair and Barlow split in September 2024 after 13 years together. Despite holding a wedding ceremony in 2018, the couple were never officially married.
After his post went viral, Flair returned to social media to clarify things.
“Wendy And I Are Not Renewing A Relationship,” he wrote via X on Monday, August 10. “We Are Renewing A 34 Year Friendship. She Has Her Own Residence And I Have Mine. She Is Coming To Tampa Primarily To Take Care Of Her Parents, Who Are Both In Their 80s And Not In Good Health.”
Flair continued, “Please Don’t Turn Something Positive Into Something Negative. If That’s All You Have To Do, Find Something Better To Do. The One Part I Am Sure Of, Which She Reminds Me Whenever We Speak, Is That She Will Always Be There For Me If I Get Sick Again, And I Was SICK For Two Years! Her Whole Family Took Care Of Me. Find Someone Else To Hate On! Wendy And I Are Good.”
The wrestling icon was referring to his health struggles in 2017, when he was admitted to the hospital in critical condition with “multiple organ problems.”
When Flair announced their split in 2024, he also acknowledged Barlow’s role in nursing him back to health.
“She Never Left My Side!” he said in a statement. “And For That I Will Always Be Grateful!”
In an exclusive interview with Us last month, Ric’s daughter, WWE star Charlotte Flair, gave an update about her famous father’s state of mind.
“Dad is good. Dad is living his life the way he wants to live it,” Charlotte, 40, said. “That’s the only way for him.”
Charlotte also acknowledged that her father’s social media presence can sometimes raise some eyebrows.
“As of today, I did not have to yell at him about his social media,” she joked. “That is huge. Today he is not in time out. Today he is behaving.”
