Taylor Swift quickly hopped over to Kansas City to support husband Travis Kelce and the Chiefs on Sunday, October 18, just hours after she performed at the Academy Museum Gala 2026 in Los Angeles.
Swift, 36, was on hand at Arrowhead Stadium for the Chiefs’ home game against the division rival Los Angeles Chargers, seen in videos and photos circulating on social media in her usual suite with friends Este Haim and Caitlin Clark.
The pop star performed a medley of her hits at the Academy Gala on Sunday night, which raised money to preserve film history.
“It’s an insane, unprecedented honor to introduce a cherished member of our little Toy Story 5 family,” comedian Conan O’Brien said while introducing Swift’s performance. “She’s John, Paul, George and Ringo all in one.”
Swift wrote and recorded the song “I Knew It, I Knew You,” for the Toy Story 5 soundtrack. In addition to that track at the fundraiser, she sang the first-ever live performance of “The Fate of Ophelia,” “Blank Space” and “Love Story.”
“Taylor is an extraordinary talent whose work resonates around the world,” Amy Homma, Director and President of the Academy Museum and Academy Collection, said on October 7. “We are thrilled to welcome her to this year’s gala and look forward to her performance to close a wonderful evening of honoring three extraordinary filmmakers and supporting the Academy Museum’s mission to celebrate and preserve cinema.”
Swift wore a blue Dior ballgown and platinum 32-carat diamond earrings from Chopard while being photographed on the red carpet before the event.
Kelce, 37, and Swift got married at Madison Square Garden in July. Swift has attended every Chiefs home game this season, her first as a wife.
Swift sat next to Tom Cruise during Kansas City’s season opener against the Denver Broncos on September 14, an experience that the actor gushed about days later.
“She was schooling me on football. She was bringing the football [knowledge],” Cruise told Jimmy Fallon during a Tonight Show appearance on September 17.
He added, “Oh, she knows her stuff. She’s like, ‘This is like…’ I was like, ‘OK!’ She knew nothing about football when she met Travis. It was like her [saying], ‘What was it like playing against your brother, tackling each other?’ She said, ‘You know, he’s so patient.’ I said, ‘I’m sure he was!’ … She knows [football]. She’s just bringing it. She knows.”
