O Queen! Our Queen! Hours after dropping her third album, 25, Adele hit the streets of NYC wearing not one of her beloved all-black ensembles, but — gasp! — a stunning red coat.

The Grammy- and Oscar-winning chanteuse, 27, was snapped outside the Public Theater on Friday, Nov. 20, in a candy-apple red statement topper with fringed seams and black piping. She also rocked blushed cheeks and a bouncy blowout.

But of course, true to her roots, Adele teamed the crimson beauty with her go-to hue: a black top, black wide-legged pants, black heels, and black shades (which undoubtedly hid her perfectly applied cat eye).

After all, the mom of Angelo, 3, once famously said, "I'm like Johnny Cash. I only wear black." And so, in honor of Adele Day, we're taking a minute to appreciate her best all-black ensembles.
