Twenty-six is going to be a great year for Adele, but it's 25 that the world will hear! The British songstress tweeted a makeup-free selfie to her fans on her 26th birthday, May 5, with a special message.
"Bye bye 25… See you again later in the year x," she captioned the photo.
The mother of 18-month-old Angelo has already released two albums, 19 and 21, which document her life at those respective ages. Her new tweet indicates that the "Rolling in the Deep" crooner's third studio album will be named 25 and will come out in 2014.
Fans have been anxiously awaiting new music from the 10-time Grammy winner. Apart from her Oscar and Grammy-winning theme song "Skyfall" for the 2012 James Bond movie, Adele hasn't released new music since 2011. (21 sold a whopping 26.4 million copies worldwide by 2013.)
She gave birth to son Angelo in October 2012 with her entrepreneur boyfriend Simon Konecki and has been focusing on her family in between albums.
One Republic's Ryan Tedder, who wrote "Turning Tables" on Adele's 21, talked about the singer's new album to the The Herald Sun in October 2013.
“[She] sounds even better than before,” he said. “I love where she’s at, she’s still my favorite artist in the world. I would press pause on my entire life if it meant I could go into the studio for a month straight with her.”
