Ariana’s going back to her roots!
Ariana Grande's hair has been a constant in our lives over the past couple of years—it rarely changes its color or style. But on Thursday, Dec. 18, the "Love Me Harder" singer got on her 'Gram to reveal a big beauty change: She dyed her hair milk-chocolate brown!
The pint-sized actress and pop singer, 21, comfortably posed for a "helfie"—aka a hair seflie—which she shared on Instagram, but not before making a note of her trip to the salon. "snuggllled up. bedddd head (back to dark brown btw) haiiiiirrrr," Grande captioned the image.
Huge news when it comes to Grande! Big Sean's paramour rocked caramel ombre tresses from mid-2013 through 2014—and red hair for her Nickelodeon character, Cat Valentine, before that. But it's been quite some time since we've seen Grande with her close-to-natural coffee locks, the delicious shade she seems to have settled on.
Hopefully, she'll be able to keep the hue, as Grande confessed in January 2014 via Instagram that it's because she's had to dye her hair so much throughout her career that her tresses are now damaged. That's also why she's had to stick to her signature half-up 'do.
"As annoying as it is for y'all to have to look at the same hairstyle all the time, it's all that works for now (AND I'm comfortable for the first time in years)…" the "Problem" singer wrote on the social media site to fans, and added, "Trust me, it's even more difficult for me to have to wait forever for my natural hair to grow back and to have to wear more fake hair than every drag queen on earth combined."
