Talk about a pretty pair—and some pretty bling!
Finally making their red carpet debut, Benedict Cumberbatch and his fiancee, Sophie Hunter, stepped out to the premiere of The Imitation Game on Monday, Nov. 17, in New York City.
Cumberbatch, 38, who's already receiving Oscar buzz for his role as World War II cryptologist Alan Turing, looked every bit the Hollywood heavyweight in a slim-fit, three-piece black suit by Dolce & Gabbana.
By his side, his real-life leading lady, Hunter, 36, donned a semi-sheer Erdem dress with blue, green, and lavender floral appliqués.
But that's not the only thing she wore: Hunter's engagement ring made it's first public appearance, too. Taking a close look, it appears that Cumberbatch gifted his bride-to-be with a diamond ring in a halo setting, with a band that boasts pave diamonds.
While the elegant duo smiled on the red carpet, the much-beloved Cumberbatch answered Us Weekly's question: How does it feel to have broken millions of women's hearts by getting engaged?
"Fine, in the sense that I’ve made one person’s heart—the most important person in my life—very happy," he said.
The Sherlock Holmes TV series star sweetly announced his "forthcoming marriage" to his director love (they met on the set of Burlesque Fairytales in 2009) via a traditional announcement in the London Times on Nov. 5.
