Holy bling! Rob Kardashian has learned a thing or two about diamonds from his sister Kim Kardashian. The Arthur George sock designer, 29, proposed to his girlfriend, Blac Chyna, with a giant diamond ring from jewelry designer Ben Baller.
Baller tells Us Weekly exclusively that the ring Rob picked out had to be special. According to the designer, the groom-to-be selected a “massive 7-carat round brilliant, triple excellent cut” set on a platinum band.
“It’s a really stunning, impressive ring — so much fire in it, it’s amazing,” Baller tells Us of Chyna’s new bling.
Baller, whose jewelry can be purchased on his IF & Co. website, revealed that Rob hit him up, telling him “I need a ring.”
The two, according to Baller, go way back, and considering that Rob has been battling weight gain and depression for the past few years, Baller said he wanted to make sure that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was in the right headspace before popping the question to his girlfriend of four months.
“We hadn’t talked in a little bit, but I wanted to make sure he was doing OK,” Baller explains. “Rob said, ‘I’m good, actually, I’m great. I’m happy. I’ve lost weight. I feel like I’ve got about 15 to 20 pounds to go, but I’m good. I need this ring, I want it to be amazing.’”
Baller, who has worked with Kardashian’s famous sisters and even the late Michael Jackson, says that “Rob had a couple of small ideas” and “wanted it to be elegant, but still be impressive.”
And boy, did he deliver! Baller tells Us that Chyna “loves the ring” and “thinks it’s perfect.”
“I talked to Rob and Chyna today,” he adds. “They’re so happy.”
