Richie Sambora has always had a thing for blondes, but this takes it to a whole new level!
The typically brunette Bon Jovi guitarist, 53, showed off his new sandy-blonde hair color while taking a phone call outside a grocery store in Calabasas, Calif. August 16. Wearing green jeans and a sleeveless denim shirt, the “Livin’ on a Prayer” rocker looked nearly unrecognizable.
Sambora unveiled his new look via Twitter days earlier on August 12. “So there you have it,” he wrote in a photo caption. “Just trying something new for a bit. I don’t have to look at me, you do. I don’t feel any different.”
The following day, Sambora realized his makeover isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. “Hey man, getting mixed reviews on the hair. But really, who cares?” he wrote. “It’s just f-n hair.”
Sambora, whose exes include Heather Locklear and Denise Richards, then claimed “a large percentage of the girls are digging it.” He then promised his Twitter users he will “go back to the other way. Just having fun.”
