The boys can do it too! Brooklyn Beckham is the latest star to trade in his darker locks for brighter, blonder hair. The model, 17, surprised his 8.1 million Instagram followers with his makeover on Tuesday, August 9.
Beckham, who was brunette, wore a simple heather gray and black Adidas hoodie and posed in front of a blank wall to display his lighter locks. The son of David and Victoria Beckham kept his roots brown, letting his color progress to a dark blond. Alexis Von K., who works at Ken Paves’ salon (he's Victoria's BFF), got credit for the dye job in Brooklyn’s Instagram caption.
Some of his fans openly gushed about the dramatic change (“How are you even real?” one asked), while others weren’t that thrilled at the teenage heartthrob’s decision. “Ewww what did you do to yourself,” @sevfect commented.
Coincidentally, Beckham’s hair matches the hue of his girlfriend’s, Chloe Grace Moretz. She hasn’t weighed in on his makeover just yet, but the Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising actress, 19, opened up about their two-year relationship in a recent interview with Glamour UK.
“One of the reasons dating him is great is that we both get what it means to have our lives twisted and torn apart and faked,” she revealed. “Seriously, you don't know how often I'm just described as 'his girlfriend.' And you think: 'Well, I've also been acting for 13 years, but don't worry.'"
Earlier this summer, the Burberry model’s fashionable mum had a huge hair change of her own. Victoria, 42, debuted a textured lob haircut on June 6, two weeks after attending Eva Longoria’s wedding with long hair. She topped her mane with a daisy flower crown and thanked her dream team for making it all happen in an Instagram. “"Kisses in the sunshine 😊 X," she captioned. "Thank u [hairstylist] @lukehersheson #newhair [makeup artist] @wendyrowe."
