Busy Philipps is just like Us! The 41-year-old knows and appreciates the transformative power of a great-fitting bra and she also also knows that you don’t have to spend a fortune to find your perfect fit.
As part of the star’s new fall 2020 campaign for Warner’s and Olga by Warner’s Intimates, the mom of two spoke with Us Weekly’s Stylish about her favorite bra, the badass team of women who brought her new campaign video to life and the Insta-famous DIY bra she’s had since high school.
The Cougar Town star tells Us that her favorite bra of the moment is the Warner’s Women’s No Side Effects Wire-Free Contour Bra ($13). She loves that it has side paneling to prevent spillage and a mesh wing back to help you stay as cool as possible in the summer heat.
“We all know that the right bra can make all the difference in how you face your day,” said the activist. “Any woman who’s had to make it through a day with an uncomfortable bra riding up will tell you that.” Retweet!
The campaign was brought to life by an all-women team, which Philipps deems her “favorite part of the experience.” For the video, she sports pretty beach waves, the Warner’s Women’s Flex Revolution Underwire Contour Bra ($13) and seriously chic belted trousers from A.L.C. She accessorized the killer lingerie look with a pair of giant gold hoops from one of Philipps’ go-to jewelry brands, Jennifer Fisher.
In the 30-second campaign video and its accompanying photos, Philipps makes a strong case for matching your bra to the rest of your outfit, a habit that the Illinois native tells Us she actually does in real life!
Warners bras are the actress’s favorite as of late, but one of her most nostalgic undergarments dates back to when she was in high school. On May 18, the Busy Tonight host posted a mirror selfie wearing the bra, which was covered in colorful pom poms reminiscent of an arts and crafts project. Nevertheless, she fit into it like a dream and simultaneously made it look like high fashion.
“LOOK WHAT I JUST FOUND IN A BOX LABELED MEMORABILIA?!” Philipps wrote in the accompanying caption. “I hope this provides inspiration for ALL OF YOU to start a puffball project of your own this week😂😂! #crafty #puffball #springcleaning.”
So obviously, we had to inquire about whether or not the puffball bra is still a part of Philipps lingerie collection. “Of course,” she told Us, adding that it’s so iconic that it deserves to be displayed in a shadow box, for all to admire.
