Who's that girl? Coco Rocha showed off a major hair makeover at the launch of HearstLive in NYC on Tuesday, September 27.
The supermodel, 28, stepped onto the red carpet looking almost unrecognizable with platinum blonde hair cut into a sharp, chin-length bob snipped by Balmain's Hair Creative Director, Nabil Harlow. The look is a huge contrast to the style she sported before: chest-level dark brown tresses.
"Thrilled to announce my first #Balmain Hair Couture campaign with a bold reinvented look by @Balmain Hair Creative director @nabilharlow," Rocha wrote via Instagram the day before, alongside an ad that teased her new dye job and announced her partnership with the French fashion house.
Despite having a profession that demands a change of glam every once in a while, Rocha told Harpers Bazaar that this is the first time she's tried platinum. "I've wanted to go blonde forever," she explained. "It is the one hair color I haven't had the chance to do."
Rocha, who welcomed daughter Ioni James with husband James Conran in March 2015, added, "Weirdly enough in my 14 years of modeling, I've only worn a blonde wig three times. I have no idea why I've never been given the option to really try blonde as a model. But here I am doing it on my own!"
