All she needs is a few singing bluebirds! Karlie Kloss rocked a fresh take on the classic Cinderella bun at the Time 100 Gala 2016 in NYC on Tuesday, April 26, and thankfully, it doesn’t take much to re-create the ‘do.

“We really wanted to make this a big moment for Karlie,” said Matt Fugate, Kérastase Paris consulting hairstylist. “We opted for a cool Cinderella-type vibe that was polished, yet super chic.” His creation was the perfect complement to her sleek, violet Victoria Beckham dress.

Fugate started by washing the 23-year-old supermodel/NYU student’s blonde tresses. He worked Kérastase L’Incroyable Blowdry ($40, left) throughout, then rough-dried the product into her hair.
After that, the stylist blew out her flaxen locks section by section, continually spritzing Kérastase Elixir Ultime Bi-Phase Spray Oil ($58, middle) for a “treatment blowout.” (Pro tip: Fugate sprayed the oil directly onto the brush — not her hair — for even shinier results.)

He then pulled Kloss’ hair into a low ponytail, leaving the last securing tie as a loop, and tucked the loose ends around the ponytail artistically. A spritz of L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Blow Dry It Blowout Extender Spray ($5, right) to tame flyways and give the style a texturized feel, and the look was complete.
