As the characters on Empire evolve, so do their beauty routines!

CoverGirl announced on March 21 that it will launch a limited-edition line, which will include Empire’s very own Lash Blast Volume Mascara, inspired by characters from the popular music industry series.

To celebrate the mid-season premiere, which airs on Fox on March 30 at 9 p.m. ET, the beauty brand has created four looks to match the personalities of Tiana Brown (Serayah), Anika Calhoun (Grace Gealey), Becky (Gabourey Sidibe) and Rhonda Lyon (Kaitlin Doubleday).

“Tiana’s look has evolved,” Serayah, 20, says of her character in a behind-the-scenes video. “She’s a lot bigger artist this season on Empire.”

In fact, Serayah says having her makeup done helps her get into Tiana’s transformation. “After [Beverly Jo Pryor, Empire’s head makeup artist] does the makeup, I can totally get into what I’m feeling for the character for that scene,” she explains. “So it’s really cool that we get to collaborate on the look together.”

Tiana’s CoverGirl look has a ’70s flair, focusing on shimmery lids and a bold, deep lip color.

Anika’s beauty is every bit as fierce as her character, with wing-tipped cat eyes and a diva lip.

Becky’s makeup takes shimmer to another level with pearlescent pink eyeshadow and extra glossy purple lips.

Rhonda’s look is totally smoked out, with all the attention on her dark eyeshadow and intense lashes, using Empire’s Lash Blast Volume Mascara in Very Black, of course. She rounds out the statement-making eyes with glossy nude lips.
