Faith Ward’s ponytail has never been more voluminous.
“OK girls, we have Soph working on Patty today,” Ward, 23, said via TikTok, referencing her teammate Sophia Laufer and her ponytail hair extension, which she nicknamed Patricia. “She is my queen.”
Laufer, 22, first applied texture spray to give her ponytail extra volume and hold. “Dont know what Soph does back there but she gets it up and she gets it teased,” Ward shared. “When I do it myself, everyone’s been thinking that I got a new ponytail … just haven’t been doing it myself! Now when I have the help, we get it looking like a proper Texas tease pony.”
In the next clip, Laufer lifted sections of Ward’s blonde mane and teased her hair with a fine tooth comb. “We’re gonna tease all the layers,” she said to the camera.
“That’s why we’re in this mid-motion moment because we do layers now,” Ward said, explaining why part of her hair was sectioned off. “Not just teasing once it’s done.” She then panned the camera to her work-in-progress pony, which already had extra va-va-voom.
Ward then explained how she styled the “top part” of her ponytail. “I don’t really know what I’m doing to be honest,” she said while adding gel to her hair. She went over it with a boar-bristle brush, which is best to smooth slick-backs, and teased her roots. “I’m gonna spritz it,” she said with a laugh while adding some hairspray.

Ward then pulled out a blonde-toned hair tie. “I like these softer ones so they’re not so harsh on my hair [but] my hair is probably gonna fall out anyways. Nothing wrong with a bit of a receding hairline!”
Once her hair was secured, Ward realized she had a “big, big bump.” Laufer and their other teammate, Sophia Brown, immediately took charge and attempted to smooth it out without undoing her entire updo. As a finishing touch, Laufer curled Ward’s ends. “It is so full and beautiful!” Ward gushed while showing her fans the finished look. “Wow!”
