Blue times two! Emma Stone matched her makeup to her dress at the La La Land premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday, December 6. See her spectacular style in today’s Red Carpet Daily presented by DirecTV.
Stone, 28, sparkled in a blue Prada sleeveless midi dress embellished with navy crystals on the bodice. She paired the number with Jimmy Choo ankle-strap sandals featuring blue and purple feathers that matched her colorful eye makeup. Celebrity pro Rachel Goodwin lined the Critics’ Choice Award nominee’s green eyes with purple shadow and liner on top and blue pencil along her lower lash line, coated her lashes with black mascara, and swiped on a few coats of berry-pink lipstick.
At the screening, Stone thanked the crowd for attending with a gracious speech. “It was such an honor to be a part of this film,” she said. “We had such an incredible time making it that I was positive it was going to be a complete disaster. Because usually if it’s really fun, it’s awful in the end, and it wasn’t awful in the end!”
Ryan Gosling, who stars alongside Stone in their third movie together, also reflected on filming the buzzed-about project, reminiscing about his days as a castmate on The Mickey Mouse Club. “’90s hip-hop, for some reason, doesn’t translate to soft-shoe and waltzing, you know?” he joked. “I thought it would help, but it was like starting from scratch.”
