Emma Watson may have outgrown her awkward days as the lovable know-it-all, Hermione Granger, from the Harry Potter series, but one thing about her character still makes her cringe.
“When I see the images again from the first Harry Potter, I immediately think how bad my hair was,” Watson, 25, said in the November 2015 issue of Vogue Italia. The UN Goodwill Ambassador began filming the Harry Potter in 1999 when she was just 9 years old; the series wrapped in 2010.
Of course, Hermione’s frizzy hair was an integral part of her character, and Watson has always been outspoken about her appreciation for the experience — bushy mane or no. “It is always surprising for me, to see how long this period of time is, where I have come and from where I started,” she said. “It is pleasant to follow that journey.”
As for the future, Watson hopes to continue building on her experiences and adding new ones. “I want to be a woman of the Renaissance. I want to paint and write. And above all I want to continue to act,” she told the mag. “I simply want to do everything.”
