We promise this shade won’t turn your lips blue! Post-application, Hello Sailor by Lipstick Queen ($25, Lipstickqueen.com) morphs into the sheerest wash of plum. “It felt like a balm but gave me that pop of color, a hint of purple,” the Empire star, 31, tells Us.
Matte Nude
The orchid extract in Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution Lipstick in Very Victoria ($32, Charlottetilbury.com) moisturizes, leaving a flat, not dry, finish. Doubleday wore this lacquer to a dinner date with her fiancé, DJ Devin Lucien, and remarked that it didn’t feel “cakey” between courses.

Very berry! Revlon’s Matte Balm in Passionate ($9, Drugstore.com) boasts a velvety blend of shea and coconut butters that glides on seamlessly. “I love the shape — it’s like a crayon, so it was super easy to get a crisp line around my lips without lip liner,” Doubleday says.
Classic Red
This bold shade is always a classic and Nars’ Audacious Lipstick in Carmen ($32, Narscosmetics.com) flatters all skin tones. “I put this on before a happy hour with my girls and got so many compliments,” Doubleday tells Us.
