Giuliana Rancic is #TeamFiery!
On Thursday, Feb. 19, days before she assumes her annual red carpet hosting duties for the 2015 Academy Awards, the E! Fashion Police star made a dramatic hair color makeover.
“Bye-bye, blonde hair! Watch how I #DIYed my hair (and my #OMG moment)” Rancic, 40, captioned a video via Instagram.
The E! News correspondent used the Vidal Sassoon Salonist home coloring kit that treats the roots and then the lengths of the hair separately, a special order for Rancic who had blonde hair with darker roots.
“Honestly at first, I was a bit nervous since I have colored my hair at-home in the past, but color kits would leave me with dull, flat hair color,” Rancic tells Us Weekly. “[The Salonist kit is] similar to how you don’t use the same moisturizer for your face and body. The same thinking applies to hair since your roots and lengths need different amounts of dye.”
But the process was a success, and afterward the mom of one took a selfie to show off her new look. “Closer look at my new hair color!
