Gwyneth Paltrow will try just about anything to stay radiant and youthful.

And that sometimes comes at a painful cost. "I'm always the guinea pig to try everything. I've got to try them all,” the Oscar winner, 43, admitted in a recent interview with the New York Times, published April 4.

Though she loves acupuncture, needles aren't the only prickly substances she's willing to dabble in. "Generally, I'm open to anything. I’ve been stung by bees," she said.

Wait, what? "It’s a thousands of years old treatment called apitherapy,” the mom of Apple, 11, and Moses, 9, explained. The process involves getting stung dozens of times by bees, and claims to promote circulation, decrease red, swollen areas and even relieve arthritis. "People use it to get rid of inflammation and scarring. It’s actually pretty incredible if you research it. But, man, it’s painful."

One thing the Goop founder isn't willing try? Chemically made SPF creams. "I only use mineral sunscreens, never the chemical ones," she told the Times, naming Drunk Elephant, Coola and Honest as her go-tos. "I don’t understand why anyone would put on carcinogens."
