She’s come so far! Before Kylie Jenner had Dead of Knight, her newest Lip Kit in matte black that launched on Friday, June 10, she revealed that she used another makeup bag staple to achieve dramatic dark lips.
“Black Lips Forever. I used black eyeliner when it wasn't as easy to find matte black lipstick,” the makeup maven, 18, shared on her Kylie Cosmetics Instagram on June 10. And on her personal page, she shared a touching throwback photo of herself with green hair and black lips.
“I did it for her 😏 back when I only dreamed of having my own lip line,” she Instagrammed on June 7. “16 yr old me would be so proud 😢 @kyliecosmetics this new kit is so important to me.”
Jenner also treated her 63.6 million followers to a few selections from a photo shoot specifically for Dead of Knight. In a black-and-white shot, she posed in a long-sleeved mesh dress with her long brunette locks flowing.
Dead of Knight won’t be the only dark shade under the Lip Kit umbrella. On June 11, she teased a photo of Ky Majesty. It’s black, just like Dead of Knight, but features a metallic blue-black shimmer. Dead of Knight and Ky Majesty join Jenner’s blossoming collection of Lip Kits that launched last November and boast plenty of universally flattering metals, mattes and glosses in nudes and brights. And many of the shades have personal ties to the teen: She has colors named after her grandmother (Mary Jo K), her big sisters Khloé (Koko K) and Kourtney Kardashian (Kourt K) and her favorite number (22).
