After just a few months of dating, Kings of Leon bass guitarist Jared Followill asked model Martha Patterson to be his bride!
“Yes, it’s true!” a rep for the band told Us Weekly Wednesday. “Jared proposed to Martha on April 11 at his home in Nashville and we’re all excited for the newly engaged couple.” (JustJared was first to break the news.)
The pair shared two sweet engagement portraits with Us, where Patterson proudly displayed the ring Followill, 25, designed: a 4-carat cushion-cut diamond set on a diamond-covered band.
Patterson, 21, first showed off her rock at the Coachella Music Festival in Indio, Calif. in April. They were joined by supermodel Karlie Kloss, 19, and her boyfriend, St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford, 24.
Pre-engagement, a source told Us that Followill had “been wanting to settle down” with Patterson, who is signed to Click Models. “He wants to marry her.” (The musician also dated Twilight‘s Ashley Greene, 25, for several months in 2011. He was engaged to model Alisa Torres until 2009.)
A second insider adds that the Followill and Patterson — who will divide their time between Nashville and L.A. — are “extremely happy. Everyone is very excited for them.”
