Celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin (you know, the pro behind some of the Kardashian-Jenner clan’s most iconic ‘dos) has already transformed the way we care for and style our tresses with her product line Ouai, and now the HBIC is further expanding her reach with a new line of luggage with CALPAK. Using the exhaustive knowledge she’s picked up from traveling the globe with all her tools in tow, Atkin has developed four rolling suitcases with the travel brand that can pack your kit, your clothes and just about anything else you’d need.
Seeking to make packing less stressful whether you are part of a celebrity glam squad or not, the Jen Atkin x CALPAK collection is all about form, function and — best yet — affordability.
“I’ve wanted to create a luggage collection for years, as traveling is literally my full-time job. My travel kit and suitcases have become such an important part of my life. I’ve really paid attention and taken notice to what has been missing from the industry,” the mane woman said in a statement. “In the end, most other luggage is either too pricey or poorly designed. Working with CALPAK has allowed me the ability to create a collection that is comparable in quality to luxury brands, but at a much more affordable price point!”
Priced between $285 for a TSA-friendly carry-on and $385 for a 30-inch-tall trunk, all of Atkin’s designs have an aluminum frame, heavy-duty handle system, sturdy (but silent!) 360-degree spinner wheels and combination lock. Available in a millennial-inspired metallic pink, bright cherry red, shimmery gold and matte black, there is a color option — and size — for everyone.
In addition to the carry-on and trunk, there are also “medium” and “large” options that are great for longer trips — or just ensuring you have plenty of room for both your clothes *and* beauty products. The best part? Each suitcase comes with a clear dust cover and four sheets of stickers (think: letters, meme-worthy phrases and more) that allow for endless customization options.
And, not to be outdone, Atkin was equally fastidious about the interiors. Each version of the quartet includes a zippered divider that creates two distinct packing areas. There are also four additional accessory pockets and a clip-in compression panel — basically, everything you need to easily sort your stuff.
