Occasionally a bridesmaid, and often a bride—that’s Jennifer Aniston‘s on-screen motto! The Friends alum tied the knot with her longtime love, Justin Theroux, on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at their L.A. home, but she’s been married plenty of times before—on both the big and small screens.
She rocked a wedding dress (more than once!) on Friends, ran through the snow wearing white in Marley & Me, and has even been a bridesmaid a couple of times, too.
While we wait to see Aniston’s real-life wedding dress, scroll down to see the actress’ best on-screen bridal moments.
Friends (“Pilot,” 1994)
The first-ever episode of the beloved series, also known as “The First One,” featured Aniston’s Rachel (who had just left her fiancé at the altar) in a gloriously ’90s wedding dress (top).
Friends (“The One With All the Wedding Dresses,” 1998)
It’s all in the name! Depressed that Ross is about to marry Emily, Rachel convinces her two best friends to sit on the couch with her and wear wedding dresses while chugging beer.
Friends (“The One in Vegas: Part 2,” 1999)
Nope, not white! When Rachel and Ross (David Schwimmer) drunkenly tie the knot in Las Vegas, she dons a long cardigan and adds a floral wristlet.
Marley & Me (2008)
One of her prettiest! Aniston marries on-screen love Owen Wilson while bundled in a creamy number and a cozy shawl, which looks all the more lovely when she starts running through the snow in it.
Even though it’s not to the right guy—that will come later in the flick—Aniston does wed her slightly crazy boyfriend, played by Woody Harrelson, in this movie (while her secret true love, a pining Steve Zahn, looks on with binoculars from a hidden spot). For the cliffside event, she dons a tiered, eyelet floor-sweeper.
He’s Just Not That Into You (2009)
After Aniston’s marriage-phobic boyfriend, played by Ben Affleck, finally pops the question near the end of the film, the two exchange vows on a boat, with the actress rocking her toned figure in a white spaghetti-strap minidress.
The Switch (2010)
Although we never see the actual wedding, we do know that the blonde beauty and her best friend/accidental sperm donor, played by Jason Bateman, say “I do” thanks to a sweet wedding photo featured at the very end of the film.
Just Go With It (2011)
Damn, girl! Aniston showcases her ridiculous body in one of the sexiest on-screen wedding dresses of all time—look at the plunging neckline and that open back!—when she weds her best friend-turned-pretend husband Adam Sandler at the end of the film.
Bridesmaid Bonus: Rumor Has It (2005)/He’s Just Not That Into You (2009)
Of course, Aniston’s been a bridesmaid, too! Not only did she join the wedding party more than once during her Friends run, but she also was an attendant in Rumor Has It (left) and in the 2009 ensemble film.
