Jennifer Aniston’s Wedding Dress Was Not Revealed on Facebook

Jennifer Aniston
A fake Jennifer Aniston Facebook page tried to pass off a wedding dress ad as the actress' actual gown.

Not so fast! On Sunday, Aug. 16, Jennifer Aniston fans squealed with delight when an account with the actress’ name on it posted a picture of a stunning wedding dress from the back, showing a super-glam bride with her hair pulled up in a ponytail.

Us Weekly broke the news that the Friends star, 46, had secretly married her longtime fiancé, Justin Theroux, at their Bel-Air home on Aug. 5. She has yet to personally share any photos or details from the big day. So naturally followers immediately started gushing about the lace-covered gown with long sleeves and a lengthy train, thinking it was hers.

“Oh WOW, that photo is just fabulous Jennifer,” one commenter wrote. “You are truly a beautiful woman with loads of class. I was always a fan of yours through your hard times and rises. You certainly are going to have the most happiest life one person can handle.. God bless you through your entire marriage.”

The only problem? It clearly wasn’t Aniston’s dress.

It turns out the image is from an ad campaign that does not feature the Emmy winner. Not only was the Facebook account not verified, the URL clearly stated “JAnistonFans,” proving that the account was not run by Aniston or her team.
