Bodacious after breakup! Newly single Jennifer Lawrence hit the red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills — and the nominee for Best Actress in a Drama looked more phenomenal than ever.
Wearing a jaw-dropping strapless Dior Couture gown — in a delicate shade of red and belted, with an odd, cone-bra-like bust — the 22-year-old Silver Linings Playbook star gave no hint of her recent romantic turmoil. On Friday, sources confirmed to Us Weekly that Lawrence and boyfriend Nicholas Hoult had split after two years together. She and the 23-year British actor met on the set of X-Men: First Class in 2010, playing one another’s love interests.
Speaking to Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet, Lawrence stuck to her professional life, and working with screen legend Robert DeNiro in Silver Linings Playbook — admitting that working with the actor was “nerve wracking ” and “intimidating” at first. “He’s a really nice guy!” she added.
It wasn’t Lawrence’s first post-split appearance, however. Over the weekend the celebrated star (who also received her second Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for her role in Silver Linings) also turned up at the Los Angeles Film Critics’ Association Awards in a long-sleeved yellow cocktail dress Jan. 12, and, that same day, at a BAFTA Los Angeles Season Tea Party in a black-and-gold mini-dress with a plunging gown.
