Hello, Barbie! Jenny McCarthy visited Us Weekly's taping studio on Tuesday, July 14, and she brought her freshly dyed fuchsia tresses with her—not to mention her hairstylist, Julius Michael, who spilled all the deets on her bold 'do.
"It started around—1 a.m.?" Michael began, looking to McCarthy for confirmation, which instantly made her giggle. "I get a text, 'Jenny wants to go pink,' and my heart stops. My favorite part? "'She said you could be there at 5 a.m.!'"
The celeb hairstylist, who also works with Real Housewives stars Kyle Richards and Melissa Gorga, added, "I made my assistant take off from work—'We have to pull this off! And we have two hours.'" Michael said that he and his assistant headed home to concoct the "custom couture color" that same night, so that it would be ready to go come the wee hours. And ready it was, though the client almost got cold feet (more on that in the video!).
As to what he's dubbing the bold shade? "Hot Bitch Pink."
Naturally, McCarthy, who first debuted the hue via Instagram, is in love. "It's a little femme fatale, and I'm digging it!" she told Us. "You know, if no one's going to hire me to play one, I might as well just be one."
