Home is where the makeup isn’t — just ask Jennifer Lawrence!
The star of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 left her Dior gowns and glam squad in Hollywood, as she enjoyed time away from the spotlight in her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, over the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
Dressed down, Lawrence, 24, stepped out wearing a large oversized striped coat, dark-denim jeans, and comfy flats — all topped off with a cozy gray beanie for a makeup-free Black Friday shopping trip on Nov. 28. Ironically enough, the name of the quaint accessories shop the actress splurged in was called Rodeo Drive — signaling she’s never far from the glitz of Hollywood.
The day before on Nov. 27, the Oscar-winning actress was spotted huddling up with her family and friends, as she arrived for Thanksgiving dinner.
Maintaining strong family ties has always been important to Lawrence, as her big brother Ben Lawrence explained to the New York Daily News in March 2013. “She is a Louisvillian at heart,” he said. “She isn’t a Valley Girl. She has soul. She has street smarts.”
Though she wears extravagant couture gowns, the Dior brand ambassador prefers to keep it simple when it comes to shopping. “It doesn’t matter how much money I make, unfairness in prices really fire me up,” she told The Telegraph in November 2014. “Like shopping in L.A. and a T-shirt costs $150.”
