The Duchess of Cambridge paired the light pink lace dress with a Jane Taylor hat for the garden party, where she joined fellow royals Queen Elizabeth, Princess Eugenie, Prince Andrew, Princess Anne and 8,000 other guests.

The event marked the second garden party thrown by the Queen; Queen Elizabeth hosts at least three garden parties at Buckingham Palace each year, with a select guest list ranging from 8,000-10,000 people expected at each fete.

Prince William's wife previously wore the dress at the St. Paul's Jubilee Service in June 2012, but with a belt.

At the event, which happened to fall on Prince Philip's 93rd birthday, guests were banned from wishing the Duke of Edinburgh "Happy Birthday." "Maybe it just gets a bit boring or annoying if everyone says it," attendee Taina Teegan, from Children's Charity Variety, surmised to Us Weekly.

Middleton chatted with one attendee about brother-in-law Prince Harry's work with the Russell Youth Club.

"Harry's been doing a lot of work with us … [we] did a recording of Happy by Pharrell Williams," Trevor Rose told the Duchess, discussing Harry's recent visit to his community recording studio a few weeks ago. "He's a lot better than me!"

Rose added Harry was even teaching one "kid on the bass," while helping another child come up with lyrics to "dedicate a song to his friend at school."

The Duchess also spoke to National Portrait Gallery exhibition manager Flora Fricker, and expressed her interest in their upcoming exhibition about late American movie star Audrey Hepburn.

"Having [Kate] as our patron is wonderful," Fricker said, "It's great because she has that Art History connection so it's very meaningful."

Earlier in the day, Middleton looked stunning in a nautical black and white Jaeger dress for the launch of Britain's bid for the America's Cup 2017 at the National Maritime Museum in London.
