Katie Holmes was spotted in Berlin on Tuesday, Jan. 20, eager to see Marc Cain‘s latest creations debut at the city’s Fashion Week, and the lady was rocking every shade of slate under the sun!

The Miss Meadows actress, 36, modeled a high-collared white shift dress under a dove gray topcoat, slightly darker knee-high boots, and a charcoal hat. And the aluminum love didn’t stop there: The mom to Suri Cruise, 8, also rocked a smoky eye, adding one more note of gray for a grand total of four.

Okay—a little less than 50. But still quite a mix! Nevertheless, the ensemble created a strong fashion statement that seemed appropriate for her front-row seat, where she rubbed elbows with Elizabeth Hurley, who is back on TV this March in the upcoming E! series, The Royals.
The Dawson’s Creek alum took her look-alike daughter to the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park to End Extreme Poverty in September 2015, where the two adorably made identical waving gestures. Holmes’ daughter with Tom Cruise has taken on both of her parents’ facial features, including her mom’s cute nose and dad’s striking eyes.
Outside the Brandenburg Gate, where the event was held, the former Holmes & Yang designer stopped to sign autographs for her fans—in spite of the pouring rain!

“I’m always comfortable in jeans,” said Holmes, who went completely topless for Glamour magazine’s August 2014 issue. “I feel like I can really do anything when I’m in them.”
On her fashion choices, Holmes told Glamourin August 2014, “I do like to buy my own clothes because I like to support designers. I know the work that goes into it. I have a tightly edited closet. I like what I like. And I repeat a lot.”
