Yas, queen! Keira Knightley says that if she could own any accessory — and money was no object — she would without a doubt choose this regal piece.
"My go-to piece would be a Chanel tiara," Knightley, 31, told Us Weekly at the Chanel Fine Jewelry dinner in her honor and debut of its The Jewel Box boutique at Bergdorf Goodman in NYC on Tuesday, September 6. "I would 100 percent [walk around casually], just totally normal, with a tiara."
She'd even do her best Elizabeth II while rocking it. "Yes, [I would wave]," she told Us, laughing, "in that queenly way."
Unfortunately for Us, the Oscar-nominated actress, who brought her husband, James Righton, as her date, didn't sport her dream crown at the affair. She did, however, model another bold piece: a Chanel basket-weave coat. "I feel quite sci-fi," she told Us. "I feel like I should be like a rocket, just shooting up into space." Knightley added that while she and a friend went through "a load" of dresses before the fete, she knew that outer space-inspired "was just the thing to be."
The Begin Again actress, who welcomed her first child, daughter Edie, in May 2015, completed her ensemble with metallic, triple-strapped Mary Janes. She also modeled Chanel makeup, including a contrasting smoky eye crafted using the Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Velvet Long-Wear Luminous Matte Eyeshadow in Rouge Contraste and the red shade from the Quadra Eyeshadow in Candeur et Experience. Her nearly nude lip was Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo Complete Care Lipshine in Script.
Meanwhile, her musician husband, 33, complemented his wife in a navy-blue suit. An onlooker told Us that the pair were in good spirits, smiling as they arrived on the red carpet and happily taking pictures together.
The pair were joined at the event — which celebrated the new Coco Crush collection, fronted by Knightley — by Alexa Chung, Atlanta de Cadenet Taylor, Jessica Hart, Leigh Lezark and Lindsey Wixson.
