Taking a cue from Rihanna! Kim Kardashian shined bright like a diamond — or, at least, her left hand did at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards in NYC on Sunday, August 28. And that's because she sported her brand-new 20-carat diamond ring from her husband, Kanye West.
In lieu of her engagement ring — a not-so-shabby 15-carat stunner by Lorraine Schwartz — the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 35, rocked the gargantuan rock on her left ring finger. While, understandably, it was hard to focus on anything else, she also modeled a skintight LBD, lace-up heels and a pair of gold necklaces.
But back to the bling: A source tells Us Weekly that the ring, also a Lorraine Schwartz creation, boasts an emerald-cut center stone that's categorized as D flawless, Type IIa — the most valued and purest type of diamond. (Fun fact: Less than 2 percent of the world's diamonds are in that range.) The whopper is set in an incredibly thin band studded with teeny pave diamonds. And the price tag? According to the source, an estimated $10 million.
Here's a close-up view, in case you have a birthday coming up:
The Kimoji creator had quite the time at the VMAs. She watched her husband take the stage, where he toasted her in the audience before introducing his new (and incredibly sexy) video for "Fade," starring Teyana Taylor. Plus, Kardashian was given the distinct honor of introducing Britney Spears' first VMAs performance in nine years. (She also shared an adorable selfie with the pop princess via Snapchat.)
