Hear her roar! Jillian Hervey, the lead singer of Lion Babe, is the new face — or mane! — of Pantene. Hervey wants to combat one of the summer’s hair challenges: frizz.
The daughter of Vanessa Willaims, who also released a gold eyeliner with MAC earlier this year, encourages her fellow curly girls to celebrate their texture this summer.
“Once I really started to embrace my curls, my entire world changed, and it’s made me the woman that I am today,” the “Treat Me Like Fire” songstress, 26, said in a June 7 press release. “Keeping my curls strong and healthy is so important, and thanks to Pantene I’ve finally uncovered a routine that allows my curls to be practically frizz-free.”
Pantene is also singing Hervey’s praises. “Historically, Pantene has been synonymous with long, straight hair — but Pantene hair can be all types and textures,” Jodi Allen, vice president of hair care and color for North America at Procter & Gamble, said in a June 7 press release. She also asserted that Hervey has “the most gorgeous curls out there!”
Hervey’s been a fan of the brand for quite some time. In March, she told The Coveteur that Pantene products are a part of her normal routine.
“I love deep conditioners, especially Pantene’s three-minute miracle mask. You put it on while you’re in the shower, and it makes it silky and strong,” she said.
