McKenna Grace pulled out only the best for a Hunger Games costume exhibition.
Grace, 20, wore a replica of the gown that Jennifer Lawrence rocked while playing Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire at the franchise’s costume exhibit in Paris, titled “Elegance Is Authority: The Story, Style and Power of Panem,” on Tuesday, October 6. Grace had all eyes on her in an A-line dress designed by Monique Lhuillier. (Tex Saverio made the original gown in collaboration with the movie’s head costume designer, Trish Summerville.)
The marvelous look featured a fitted bodice with delicate beading and a ballgown tiered skirt. Grace’s strapless dress also had silver embellishments that extended off her strapless neckline. She made her ensemble even more dazzling with feathers pinned in her hair and diamond earrings.
For glam, Grace rocked a full beat including dewy skin, manicured eyebrows, white eyeshadow and long, wispy lashes. She completed her makeup with bronzed and blushed cheeks, as well as lined, pink lips. Her blonde hair was styled in an updo with her baby hairs swirled over her forehead and a braided headband.
“I’m SUCH a massive fan of this franchise, so the opportunity to recreate something like this was so special,” she later wrote via Instagram. “A huge thank you to the entire team that helped me get ready, and especially @mollyddickson who’s been helping me bring all my fangirl dreams to life for this press tour for months now hahah. I wanted to pay homage to Katniss, and this dress is so iconic, although the meaning of the look is not lost on me.”
On Tuesday, Grace took to TikTok to show off her look while posing in the Musée Rodin.
“‘If you let them treat you like an animal, they will, so don’t let them,’” Grace captioned the post, quoting Suzanne Collin’s novel The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. Fans went wild over her iconic look in the comments section.
“This girl is on FIRE 🔥,” one wrote, referencing Katniss’ nickname, while a second added, “I HOPE YOU KNOW YOU’RE DRIVING THE FANDOM INSANE WITH THIS RIGHT NOW.” A third commented, “Simply iconic.”
In the 2013 movie, Katniss wore the wedding dress while being interviewed by Caesar Flickerman (Stanley Tucci) ahead of the 75th Hunger Games. When she spun, the dress caught fire and was transformed into a mockingjay look.
Grace has long been a fan of The Hunger Games and hilariously reacted to Josh Hutcherson, who played Peeta Mellark in the movies, finding out that she previously made fan edits of him.
In 2025, she told Entertainment Tonight that she “never would have” exposed her edits to Teen Vogue if she knew she “was going to end up working with him” in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. “So bad!” she giggled.
Hutcherson, 33, also laughed off her edits, telling ET that he “didn’t know” she was such a big fan.
