Meghan Markle has been soaking up a little sunshine before fall arrives.

Markle, 45, wore a chic white dress while tending to her California garden in a new photo shared via her As Ever brand’s official Instagram account on Saturday, August 29.

“Soaking in the last of summer in the garden 🌼,” the caption read.

The Duchess of Sussex stunned in a crisp frock featuring short sleeves, a fitted bodice and an A-line pleated skirt. She teamed the look with a wide-rim straw hat to protect her skin and an elegant ring. Markle styled her brunette hair in a low ponytail, which cascaded down her back.

Markle’s post comes just days after she left behind her family’s Montecito address and moved to the United Kingdom with her husband, Prince Harry, and their two kids, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5. BBC first reported that the family arrived in England on August 26, six years after stepping down from their senior royal roles.

The family relocated for an extended period of time and their kids will reportedly start school this month. While the brood will be spending the foreseeable future in England, they are expected to keep their home in Montecito, where they moved after their royal exit in 2020. They’re also maintaining a vacation residence in Portugal.

A source exclusively opened up to Us about their relocation, sharing, “Harry is not as happy in the U.S. as he is in the U.K.” The insider added that he and Markle “aim to be somewhere outside of London,” instead of in the heart of the city. “They are open to a new chapter.”

The source elaborated, “Harry still operates as if he were a member of the royal family when he evaluates opportunities. He’s seen royals who have left the royal family, like Sarah Ferguson, whose path he does not want to emulate. He wants to do things that are a right fit for him, but that can be very limiting. And, of course, they need to find ways to make money, so they are eager to find partnerships that are the right fit and fruitful for them.”
