Melissa McCarthy may have had luscious long locks at the Critics' Choice Awards in L.A. last month, but she debuted a shorter lob on Tuesday, February 2.
"On set with the funniest @melissamccarthy looking amazing after #cutting her #hair couple of inches off,” celebrity hairstylist Renato Campora wrote via Instagram. "Loving the soft texture."
In Campora's snap, the Spy actress, 45, smiled in a shorter, shoulder-skimming hairstyle with healthy tousled waves.
The new look is definitely a departure for McCarthy, who hasn't truly rocked a shorter cut since she played the character of Sookie St. James on the early aughts classic Gilmore Girls.
As previously reported by Us Weekly, Netflix announced a revival of the fan-favorite sitcom, in which Lauren Graham (Lorelai Gilmore) and Alexis Bledel (Rory Gilmore) will officially be reprising their roles.
Unfortunately for fans of McCarthy's character, the Mike & Molly star revealed that she has not yet been asked to return. "Thanks for the invite, but sadly no one asked me or Sookie to come back to Stars Hollow," she wrote on Twitter on Tuesday, February 2. "Wish them all the best!!"
