Paulina’s the beauty queen to rule them all! Miss Colombia Paulina Vega was crowned Miss Universe 2015. The 22-year-old beauty beat out runner-up Miss USA Nia Sanchez and finalists Miss Jamaica Kaci Fennell, Miss Ukraine Diana Harkusha, and Miss Netherlands Yasmin Verheijen.

“It will be a dream come true to represent the woman of today,” Vega said prior to winning the crown at the 63rd annual pageant, broadcast live on NBC from the FIU Arena in Doral, Miami. “A woman that not only cares about being beautiful and being glamorous, but also cares about being a professional, intelligent, hard-working person.” See more gorgeous photos of Miss Colombia.

During the Q&A portion of the competition, Vega impressed the judges when asked what she thinks women can learn from men. “I believe there’s still men that do believe in equality,” she said through a translator. “I believe that’s what women should learn from men.”

While Vega’s win was celebrated, many fans in the audience weren’t thrilled when Miss Jamaica came in fourth. In fact, an audible portion of the audience could be heard booing as the judges announced their decision.

“Yow #MissJamaica shoulda been #MissUniverse2015 STILL!,” one fan of Fennell tweeted, while another added, “Jamaica should’ve got 2nd runner up at least. Like c’mon now, she was the best there! smh #MissUniverse2015.”
