Picture perfect! Molly Sims knows a thing or two about werking it in front of the camera. After all, the supermodel, 43, has five Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues under her belt.
Now the pregnant mom of Brooks, 4, and Scarlett, 18 months, is taking matters — and the front-facing camera! — into her own hands. At the La Vie En Blue Fashion Gala for Autism Speaks in Burbank, California, on Thursday, September 29, she shared her top tips for taking a perfect baby bump selfie.
“Oh, gosh! Wearing things tight or like holding it in, because if not, you’ll be a little bit of a mum, not so flattering,” Sims, wearing an ebony Walter Collection maxidress with blouson sleeves along with jewels from Neil Lane and Jimmy Choo, told Us Weekly. “Being in tighter clothes. As you get bigger, go tighter! It’s the total opposite of what you would think.”
Sims, whose pregnancy craving is confetti cake this go ‘round, may already have a color scheme in mind for her skintight staples. For the fall, she’s shopping “anything plum. I think monochromatic is really good, like the plum on plum,” she added. “And an overcoat. Also, the Silva military jacket is still really good. The oversize jean jacket I think everybody has to have. And according to Kim Kardashian, lace.”
Hopefully, Sims (who shares kids with hubby Scott Stuber) can keep her new clothes clean while awaiting baby no. 3, whose gender has yet to be revealed. At the Nature’s Bounty beauty event in New York City on September 8, the Las Vegas actress told Us about an, umm, messy situation that she had experienced just the day before. “I actually vomited last night on the Long Island Expressway next to a homeless man,” she revealed. “I had to pull over at a gas station off the highway and I was vomiting. … I’ve had a really hard pregnancy.”
