50 Cent arrives at the American Giving Awards presented by Chase held at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on December 9, 2011 in Los Angeles, California.

Name: 50 Cent

Occupation: Hip-hop mogul

Split Personality Style: The dapper Queens native, whose fifth album, Street King Immortal, drops November 13, says he's got two distinct looks. "There's Curtis Jackson, who has a casual, relaxed sense of style, and then there's 50 Cent, whose bold, edgy style is inspired by the streets of New York." But both his signature looks "have definitely changed over the years," the Grammy winner says. "It used to be all athletic street wear. Now I wear more tailored pieces like a button-down shirt, cardigan or pullover with jeans and always a suit for big events." His go-to designers: Tom Ford, Giorgio Armani and Hermes.

Closet Confidential: "I have a lot of clothes but I don't throw a lot out. I have a huge storage area of clothes that I've bought over time," says the 37-year-old rapper, who recently launched SMS Audio headsets. ("They are a fashion statement themselves!" he says.) Among his most treasured style staples are an Audemars Piguet watch, a G-Unit diamond medallion and a Louis Vuitton backpack.

Old School Cool: "I'm influenced by a lot of the artists I watched when I was small," says 50 Cent. "Billie Dee Williams was super cool, and some of the things I saw Marvin Gaye wear were ill. And some of those styles are already back. Fashion always recycles itself." His timeless tip: "Always invest in great-fitting clothes. It makes a world of difference."

Quote: "New York is the fashion capital of the world. We set trends and make them our own with the rest of the world following."
