Olivia Holt Tells You Everything You Want to Know About the Acne-Fighting LED Mask of the Future

The future is now! Neutrogena just launched its first Light Therapy Acne Mask — a 100-percent light-based way to fight zits — and to celebrate, we asked brand ambassador Olivia Holt to take it for a spin with Stylish.

The I Didn’t Do It actress, 19, modeled the piece, which glows a hot-pink hue when activated, while breaking down everything you’d want to know about the Daft-Punk-look-alike tech. “It’s pretty incredible — it can do some pretty crazy things,” Holt told Stylish in a Facebook Live video. “It has blue and red light. The blue light is supposed to help fight bacteria and the red light is supposed to help reduce inflammation.”

The “Phoenix” singer added, “This is basically like taking your dermatologist [home] with you.”

Best part? You only wear the mask, which hangs gently on your ears, for 10 minutes a day. All you have to do is wash your face before you put it on and moisturize once the 10 minutes are up (at which point the device will shut off automatically). “Usually, I … paint my nails, watch a show, [do] vocal warm ups, read a script — all that good stuff,” Holt shared.

You can purchase the Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask ($40) and the Mask Activator (i.e. the remote control) ($17), at drug and food stores nationwide starting this month.
