Calling all Kardashian fanatics! In the March 1 episode of Pretty Little Liars, “Burn This,” Lucy Hale‘s Aria takes a trip to the police station and channels her inner Kim K. in a fitted gold bodysuit.
“Return of the bodysuit!” Dale tells Us. “This Maje netted gold bodysuit is a great play on the trend: Since it has gold netting, it doesn’t read too swimsuit-y, which can be a problem sometimes.”

This is especially true when you’re not headed to the local pool, but to the Rosewood police station to participate in a lineup. “Since Aria isn’t going to the club, I layered a suede All Saints vest over it, making it a ‘day’ look,” Dale explains. “I love this vest so much. And as it turns out, Lucy owns it in real life, so it was an easy sell! The vest is [also great] because it’s a piece we can revisit next season too.”
As for Aria’s oxblood short shorts, those came courtesy of Sandro. “I love how the burgundy plays off the gold [bodysuit] and the tan vest,” the costume designer shares.

But the most surprising part of the ensemble? There were no crazy-tall signature Aria shoes in sight! “I wanted an unexpected shoe with this look, so we went with a platform slip-on sneaker in pony-hair leopard by Cathy Jean,” Dale says. “It’s nice to give the girls a break from the high heels once in a while!”
